| How Does Algae Pro Work? | The
micro-organisms in Algae Pro consume the excess nutrients required by
algae and blanket weed, the algae and blanket weed therefore have
nothing to feed on and so die.

| Is Algae Pro Safe? | The
micro-organisms present in Algae Pro occur naturally in healthy ponds,
they are harmless to fish, wildlife, pets and people.

| How Quickly Does Algae Pro Work? |
Many factors influence how quickly Algae Pro will work - water chemistry, weather conditions, amount of suspended organic matter....However, you should see changes starting to appear after 3-4 weeks - in temperatures lower than 10°C this may take a little longer.

| Can I use a UV Filter? | You
will need to switch off your UV filter during the initial inoculation
period to allow colonisation. You may switch it on again 24 hours
after the last starter dose, it may then remained switched on even
whilst maintenance dosing takes place.

| What About Tap Water? |
Tap water may be very high in nitrates and phosphates - the nutrients which algae need - if you fill your pond with tap water, add Algae Pro 2-3 weeks before introducing fish or other pond life. If you top up your pond with tap water, be sure to give the pond an additional maintenance dose of Algae Pro. |
